Why did Jesus (and all previous the profits) pray in the style or Islam?
"he fell with his face to the ground and prayed" matt 22:39

He's not described as doing that all the time or 5 times a day. And many Jews and Christians have prayed that way. Falling to the ground and praying is probably something people in every religion have occasionally done.
Why do you find it odd? Islam probably adopted it from already existing certain practices in the Middle East. It came along centuries after Judeo-Christianity after all.

Islam is not a stand alone new religion
It's the final instructions from God to human beings , Mohammad Peace be upon him said the prophets are like a fully built home with a empty place in It's wall , so people wonder why is it empty , So I am like the filler of this emptiness and I am the last prophet.
He didn't come with anything new or unfamiliar , just like the Christian king of Alhabasha "Najashi" said that the Qur'an and the bible came from the same creator.

All 3 Abrahamic religions are EASTERN CULTURE. Middle eastern religions by middle easterners.
Of course Jesus and the prophets bowed like muslims do or I should say muslims bow like Jews did. Daniel in exile prayed toward Jerusalem in prayer.(Muslims pray toward Mecca) There are other accounts in the bible of people bowing in prayer. That is how it was done. The account of Isaac and Rebekah mentions Rebekah VEILING herself. The apostle Paul mentions Christian women and head covering. Sound familiar? He also goes on to say a woman should not talk in church but be in subjection because women were made for men. Judeo-Christianity is eastern culture and its tenets include the subjugation of women, arranged marriage, polygamy etc.
The Romans were of Western culture (Greco-Roman) and Rome gave us monogamy and ROMANCE. Most Christians are unaware that their view of monogamy-only marriage is not Judeo -Christian but instead came from Rome and Roman law. Christianity was absorbed into the Roman empire and became the Roman catholic Church (of Rome) and Orthodox Church (of Constantinople). Before the Romanizing of the Church, Christians had no objection to polygamy in accordance with Judeo-Christian culture and law. 2 good sites that bring out this fact from a scriptural standpoint are http://biblepolygamy.com/ and http://www.biblicalpolygamy.com/

Actually, Islam mimicked this style, because Islam came into existence 500 years after Christianity. So it is the other way around.

You are wrong. The religions got their example from Jesus. The example is to humble yourself in the presence of God. It is a very excellent idea!
Oh, one more thing; Jesus is God incarnate - not merely a prophet.
Here is some proof if you really want truth. Ignore it if you don't.

When Jesus was on earth, he always prayed to his Father jehovah, not to anyone else.
We should do the same. -Matth. 6:9.
We can pray in any respectful position, at any time, and at any place.
Pray muslims to Jehovah like Jesus ? Are their rayers said in the name of Jesus the Son of God
?

Actually, the Muslim religion started hundreds of years after the life of Jesus ,so your question should be, :Why do Muslims pray in the style of Jesus ? "

Islam came after the O.T and the N.T, therefore Islam prays in the style of the prophets of the bible. Islam does claim to be the final book, does it not?
