Why Yahoo has totally neglected the stock screeners?

Yahoo has totally neglected his stock screeners. And there must be a reason.

The Web version, http://screener.finance.yahoo.com/stocks.html is so basic to be just useless.

The Java version, http://screener.finance.yahoo.com/newscreener.html *was* really good an now is unavailable. Reason being that it does neither work on Windows7 nor on any Linux.

I'm asking Yahoo folks to make the Java version available for the newer operating systems, both Windows and Linux.

Update:

@Oscar, you say:

>> I'm not able to replicate any problems with the HTML and Java Stock Screener

What OS did you try the Java version with? It does not work with Windows 7.

Moreover, all pages clearly states that Windows 7 is not among the OS viable for this screener.

    Hey there,

I'm not able to replicate any problems with the HTML and Java Stock Screener. As a first step, I'd recommend attempting some troubleshooting to help fix this problem. I have provided an article below with details:

    http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=content&id=SLN...

If you're still experiencing issues, you may want to try using another browser as a workaround. The article above can also assist with this.

    I hope this helps!

With penny stocks you can make 30 percent or 40 percent profit in a few days. Learn here https://tr.im/pennystocktrading

The best strategy, if you do have experience type of return on a penny stock, is to sell the stock quickly.

Of course, it’s easier said than done. The natural thing to want when you see an increase in stock price is to hold the stock and hope for an even larger increase.

I do not like the answers that derail the subject. Show me the link of the Java stock screener that I stated as "gone". no more. Disappeared. it has nothing to do with the Java settings: the URL returns 404.

Once we find it we can dwell on how to set the Java.

but it is no longer available. Or is it???
