upgrading laptop for gaming?

Hi everyone

I just bought a laptop of 680$ ...its hp envy ultrabook.i has

Core i5 3317u@1.7ghz

Amd radeon hd 7670m2gbddr3

500 gb hard drive

8 gb ram

15.5 inch screen

And i thought it will play every game on ultra but when i played injustice God's among us ultimate edition on it...it was played on lowest settings with 500x600 display(very short)

So what do u suggest what i should do to play this game at ultra....

Did you change the video settings in the game or did you just start playing with out changing any game settings? Looks like you need to go in and changed the resolution. Some games don't detect the hardware that you are using so It will just start playing at the lowest setting.

Here is the system requirements for this game:

    Minimum:

    OS: 32-bit Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Vista

    Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or AMD Athlon X2 2.8 GHz

    Memory: 2 GB RAM

    Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8800 GTS or AMD® Radeon™ HD 3850

    DirectX: Version 10

    Network: Broadband Internet connection

Hard Drive: 21 GB available space

Additional Notes: Windows XP and DirectX® 9.0b and below not supported

    Recommended:

    OS: 64-bit Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Vista

Processor: Intel Core i5-750, 2.67 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 965, 3.4 GHz or better

    Memory: 4 GB RAM

    Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 560 or AMD® Radeon™ HD 6950

    DirectX: Version 11

    Network: Broadband Internet connection

Hard Drive: 22 GB available space

Additional Notes: Windows XP and DirectX® 9.0b and below not supported

So, based on these requirements you should be able to run the game on high or ultra high settings. The only thing that might hold back is the processor speed. Yours is set at 1.7GHz and recommended is 2.67GHz for intel. Keep changing the game setting until you see a visual improvement. If the game starts to lag and stutter with low FPS, then draw back on the visual settings.

You shouldn't buy a laptop for gaming unless you travel a lot.
