How did money influence Pink Floyd as a band?
I was wondering when Pink Floyd became more and more popular for their music, how did the constant earning of money affect their lyrics, their reputation, their relationships with each other, their relationships with their fans, their personality etc.

Pink Floyd actually was plagued with money problems. They were almost bankrupt because the management company they had hired to invest their money and grow their wealth made a series of bad investment decisions. The massive success of the album The Wall came at the perfect time to save them from going totally broke.
Also, finances played a major part in Roger Waters agreeing to leave the band. Pink Floyd was under contract to deliver additional albums on a fixed timeline, and the strain between Waters and the other band members had reached the point where they could not work together to produce another album. The band feared being sued by the record company; in turn, the other members were threatening to sue Waters. He has been quoted as saying that if he hadn't agreed to leave, he would likely have been ruined financially.

Yes it certainly did influence them in destructive ways.Gilmour and Waters were both egotistical middle class big heads from the beginning. The money they earnt just gave them both the ability to run for power.Power neither had.
As regards the relationship with fans. What relationship ? A wall was built that Waters himself created .Them and I or "Us and them" so to speak.

Hard to say.
Been listening to them since the late '60s and they have always challenged the normal with both music and concerts.
Waters and Gilmore still preform, on occasion together but I believe their 'spirit' is still 'out-there' and I'll listen to both their old and their new with the same type of intensity.
