I have a question about some Computer programs?

Occasionally I get these programs on my computer, when I am downloading a program that tell me they can fix my computer so it will run faster etc and get rid of all the infected virus's and it tells me how many infected programs and needs to be fixed. My question is.. do these programs really fix your computer and make it run faster and are they worth purchasing?.. Thank you

That's what know as spam, I don't see them as I have them all blocked. There's more then enough very good freeware available that get get the same job done as payware. You should have asked how to block the ads as opposed to if they're legit. If you have excessive as's and pop-ups you may have malware: Get Malwarebytes (MBAM): http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.ph... Install (don't choose trial), update. On the "Settings" tab make sure all boxes are checked, for each option below choose "Show in results list and check for removal", on the "Scan" tab- start a "Full Scan". When done make sure everything found is selected, and click delete. You should also consider a better antivirus then you have already UNINSTALL EVERY ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAM YOU HAVE, check if vendor requires you run a removal tool after uninstalling (most do). MAKE 100% SURE YOU HAVE NO OTHER ANTIVIRUS INSTALLED. Download Avast here: http://www.avast.com/en-us/get/olSeZktG Click the magnifying glass icon "Scan"> select "Boot-time scan", go down to the small blue "settings" link on that same tab (hardening Boot-Scan settings). A new tab will open- from top to bottom on that tab select all hard drives, click the graph to high (heuristics), both boxes below that checked, and select move to chest, click "OK". Select "Start Scan", then Yes. Computer will reboot and start the Boot-time scan. LEARN Avast setup options, and advantages here: http://www.winhelp.us/configure-avast-free-antivir... (CLICK ALL SCAN OPTIONS TO HIGH "heuristics").

They're either adverts from the dodgy sites you're downloading from, or they're adware that you've already managed to install on your PC. DON'T TOUCH THEM

Instead, run - don't walk - to your nearest Antivirus vendor and download one of the legally free products. I can recommend Avast (from avast.com) but you may prefer one of the others. Let it perform a full disk scan and remove any of the nasties it finds.
