What are some hair-curling methods and some ways to prevent split ends?
I don't use heat on my hair often at all. Yet, when I curl my hair with a curling iron and put hairspray on it, it falls out within the hour. I have long, wavy, and heavy hair. How do I make it stay?
Also, how do I prevent split ends? My whole head of hair defines split ends! I leave my conditioner in for two minutes before rinsing it out and I spray a leave-in. Is a leave-in cream conditioner better than a spray?
Thanks!

Curling your hair when it is dirty can help hold a curl. Also when you are about to curl a strand run the iron over the strand a few times to heat it up and prepare it for the curl. With split ends I always leave my ends out of the curling iron not a lot but that way my ends don't split.
I find cream conditioner is better than spray but also try to buy shampoo and conditioner that has no SULFATE. Lorielle has a new system I am using that is for damaged hair and I am having a lot of luck with it! Hope this helped.

You're using a curling iron with a clip, I assume? Use a curling wand, it's way better and the curls last longer especially if the barrel has tourmaline in it. I use a karmin clipless wand and the curls stay for like 2 days. My hair is wavy and kinda frizzy. To prevent split ends (aside from frequent trims) you can use this argan oil called pro naturals because you put some on after a shower (its not oily) and it makes hair really soft and healthy. Plus that one is a heat protectant so you know...2 birds 1 stone.

You need to focus more on your diet that on focusing on what shampoo and conditioner to use. My hair used to have a lot of split ends too. Try to find someone in your city who can give you a Brazilian split end repair blow dry (usually runs about $25-$30). Start taking multi vitamin pills and keep hydrated by drinking lots of water and incorporating lots of fruits and veggies in your diet.
Yes there is a heat free method to curl your hair. What you can do is get socks or bandanas. You can do this at night and sleep over in your hair. Do this with damp hair. You can either dampen it by misting some water in your hair or wash it and let it dry about 60-70%. Then grab a section of hair and start braiding it with a sock or bandana. Hope I helped!
