How do I get my email back to classic Yahoo?

Mr. C, the short answer is you can't go back to Classic, it is gone.

However, there are two "work-arounds", one of which may work better for you. The closest to Classic is Yahoo Basic. I will tell you how to reformat for that, but I don't recommend it as you will lose several features such as spell check. The other option is a version of the new mail. With this option you will lose the threaded emails, you will be able to sort your emails by sender/subject, your name will be displayed instead of me, and it will be easy to edit any part of the email while replying/forwarding.

Option Basic:

-while on your mail page, hover your cursor over the gear icon on the upper right of the screen from the drop down menu select settings

-from the left column select viewing mail, to the right side @mail version select basic

-click the save button on the bottom left

Option New Mail Version:

-while on your mail page, hover your mouse over the gear on the upper right side of the screen

-from the drop down menu select settings, select viewing mail from the left column, on the right side uncheck the options enable conversations

-click save on the bottom left of the screen.
