I was born in Mid-May 1998 which grade am I in (US School)?
Hi! I was born on the 22nd of May 1998 and was wondering in which grade I would be if I lived in the US now if I didn't skip or do twice any grades. Only 100% sure answers. One more question, when do people change grades, in September or January?

You would be in 10th grade- year 2 out of 4 in high school, usually called 'sophomore' year. I am absolutely certain- my sister was born late April 1998 and she's a sophomore this year. The school year in America generally runs from September until June, so you would have started 10th grade last September and would finish it in June. Next September you would be in 11th grade ('junior') year.

You would be in 10th grade or sophomore year. Traditionally you would end school in June and then start up again in september in the next grade. Although, a few school districts go year round: going for about three months then having two weeks off (still entering the new grade in september).

You would be in 10th grade.
And the school year runs from late August/early September to late May/early June. So we finish the year in May/June, then have a long summer break (we don't get many breaks throughout the year like a lot of other countries), and then we go back to school and start a new year in August/September.

Depending on which state you began in, you would be in the 9th or 10th grade.
If you started kindergarten the August or September after turning 5 (which depending on the state, you may have been required, it may have been an option, or it may NOT have been an option), you would be a 10th grader. This is usually your second year in high school, and you would have two full school years after this one until you graduate. In most places, you would be called a sophomore.
If you started kindergarten the summer after turning 6 (which would be rare for your birthday), you would be a ninth grader. This would be your first year of high school (or possibly your last year of middle school/jr. high). You would likely be called a freshman.
The month you begin school depends on your state and school district. My state begins in early August and dismisses in mid-to-late-May. Many places begin in September. They get out of school in June. A few districts may begin in late July. That's rare.
