How do you mean?
For me the ancestry DNA test was $100, and that is kinda how you get started.
It has records mostly domestic.
As with most things, the obscure things remain obscure.
If your father is from a European country? There are probably records on the site.
I'm Asian, so what I found was a bit limited.

it has to be world wide or else there is no use of it. not sure of the cost, it must be on their website.
