Bell iPhone plan with no data?

Hi there! I've got a plan with bell right now for my iphone 5 and the plan is very expensive. i was wondering if it's possible for me to get a plan that only has text messages and calling. i looked into it and on the bell website, there is a plan that is much cheeper that only has texting and calling. Would i be able to use that plan with my iphone through bell? Or do iPhones have to have a data plan while using bell?

    iPhones, like all smartphones, require data plans.

    I know I sound like a salesman, but I use a sim card iphone 3gs on straight talk for 45$ a month, data included. I recommend you give it a try, it's really great.

    You to have a data plan talk to Bell about changing plans, but if you have a contract with them it could cost you to cancel.
