My ex who has joint custody and primary place for my son is going to military. He want me to sign over but I said no since I pay to support my child and he never let me see him because I didn't want to be with him no more but anyways what do this mean do my child get to stay with me since he going to military or what? Even though I have joint custody.

I think so, but it may be different if he has remarried. I know that if he is single, he can't be the primary custodial of a child and enlist in the military, but I don't know if that is different if he has remarried. You might trying asking this again in the military section on here. They might be more confident of their answers. Or maybe one of the prior service people in this section will know.
