Gas heating question?

I have ducted gas heating throughout the house, can anyone tell me if you can have a compressor fitted so that the ducted gas heating can also run a cooling system from the same unit?

Thank you very much.

yes you can, you would probably have change your plenum , which is located directly above your furnace, to accommodate an A coil that refrigerant runs threw..

You can add cooling. There is the matter of whether your duct system and your air handler are big enough.

My guess is that it is not, but a heat load calculation done by a contractor will tell you.
