Relationships nowadays in general?
So I was having a general conversation with a buddy of mine and we were talking about relationships. I seem to have a problem with the idea of choosing who to date from a list of people that an individual likes simultaneously (I'm a one woman kind of guy, hence the issue I see). But he think that there is nothing wrong with it. Now, we both didn't come up with the best rebuttals to our points which is why I am asking the question. Google didn't end me with good answers either. Question is: In general, is having multiple options when choosing who to be in a relationship with good or bad? Why?

Bad,
1. If they find out obviously not good
2. If you like one thing from one girl and one thing from another
Than the one you think you like most will still never be good enough cause you'll think "well she can't do this" like (Emma can ) or whatever
Is turn you will never find that "perfect person with every quality that you are engraving into your head from every girl
Summed up:
You'll compose a "super girl" a "perfect girl" in your subconscious that is made up of qualities from every girl
Then you will never find "that. Girl " and you will miss out on only one that ever mattered
