My Unlocked Verizon Blackberry Tour 9630 is not working with T-Mobile SIM card. Why?

I am set up new service with T-Mobile and ported my number from Verizon. The Blackberry Tour has been unlocked. I removed the Verizon SIM card and put in the one I received from T-Mobile. When I try to call out I get a recording that says "Welcome to Verizon Wireless. Please hold while you call is transfered to an external operator". Need help so I can use the phone.

    Oh jesus, lord help me!!!

Fact 1… Verizon/Sprint/Virgin Mobile CDMA Global Ready phones are not locked. Rather, the GSM radio is OFF and remains off until the user goes overseas. Then users calls Verizon/Sprint/Virgin Mobile and requests GSM radio to be turned on for international usage. Verizon/Sprint/Virgin Mobile turns it on…. Only then will sim cards work….

Fact2… if customer or CDMA Global Ready phone is no longer active, Verizon/Sprint/Virgin Mobile will NOT turn on the GSM radio. It will remain off... forever. There is no hack for it.

Which leads us allllllllllllll the way back to fact 3…. CDMA and GSM technology can never never EVER mix….. Verizon/Sprint/Virgin Mobile phones will never work on ATT/Tmobile……… you can cry whine poop pee throw pots and pans kill people commit suicide… doenst matter… it wont ever work…..
