    The standard form is ax+by=c.

    Therefore, you write it as -1/3x+y=2.

    Hopefully, that helps you.

    To convert to standard form, follow my lead:

    y=1/3x+2

    y - 1/3x = 2

    -1/3x + y = 2

    The answer is -1/3x + y = 2

    If you mean standard form to be:

    ax + by = c

    were a, b, and c are integers, then start with subtracting (1/3)x from both sides:

    (-1/3)x + y = 2

    Now to get a to be a positive integer, multiply everything by -3:

    x - 3y = -6
