could you keep a leopard tortisee in a 9x2ft enclosure?

can i keep a male leopard tortoise in a 9x2ft indoor enclosure

    No. The Leopard Tortoise is the 4th largest tortoise. In a 2ft wide enclosure it would not be able to turn around and at just 10ft long, two or three steps and it will have got from one end to the other.

    They are a sub-Saharan species which do not hibernate and require a good deal of space to roam. It would be cruel to keep such an animal in anything less than a 20ft x 20ft enclosure.

    This species should be kept in a large garden in the hotter parts of the world and fed on a diet of mainly grasses. Kept indoors you would need to give it reasonable sized room to itself and MUST provide 12 - 14 hours a day 7 - 10% UVB light.

    No, the minimum pen for an adult is 10X10 feet. These are very large animals and tortoises require more space than other reptiles.
