I'm too stressed for school and homework?

I've had my first breakup, was also my first love. My best friend just died. Everything is going wrong. Parents on my case. Have two tests tomorrow and a lot of homework and I can't do it because I can't stop crying. It's been 3 mo since breakup and 1 mo since death. I just can't anymore. Can't afford therapy, have to work with ex every day. Parents always on my case about messy room, honestly my room is NOT on my mind right now. I just want to be left alone. Idk I guess this was a rant but advice welcome.

Firstly i'm sorry to hear about your friend, hope you are dealing ok. Secondly, if you tell your teacher about whats going on i'm pretty sure they will let you have some time off major work. I also think if you explain to your parents whats going on they will let you off about your room (sounds like they should get their priorities straight in my opinion :)) get some chocolate, get your friends and just chill and take some time out. If you're not into eating your feelings then go for a run or exercise (not sure how cold it is in america since i live in oz) and just release your emotions and let them run wild on the rest of the world. Hope everything begins to look brighter soon. Stay happy :)

It is understandable that you are feeling distressed with everything that you have gone through lately. Since you do not feel that you can afford a therapist you should try to find some counseling from other resources. A good person to talk to would be your school counselor. This would be a good way to let someone at school know that you have a lot going on right now then maybe you could get some extra time or help with your tests and homework. There are also crisis lines available 24/7 where you can get some helpful advice from a crisis counselor.

No, it's not a rant. You have every right to be stressed out. Take deep breathes, slowly, until you can focus just on them alone and the fell of air going in and out of your body. This is a simple relaxation technique that lowers blood pressure and slows heart rate. After you have calmed down, try clearing your mind of everything and go to a happy place in your head. It can be an imaginary world or maybe a favorite vacation spot. But the point is to be able to redirect your attention. When you feel you are calmed down, focus on the task at hand. What needs to be done? Maybe start working on your hw while listening to some of your favorite happy/energetic music. Another great way to help get your mind off things is to try something new. Pick up a martial art, learn an instrument, read that book you've been meaning to. It's time to focus on YOU right now. I hope this all helped, you can message me if you want any more advice or just someone to talk to. :)

I want you to know that it's okay to feel like this. In fact it is perfectly normal. I don't want you to have self blame or guilt. YOURE ONLY HUMAN. it's okay to feel this way. It's okay to feel stressed. It's okay to wanna cry and breakdown. What you're dealing with us beyond emotional and in order to cope its best to cry, write it down, talk to someone, sleep and most importantly focus on yourself. Tell your parents. You aren't a failure because of this. An insane amount of pressure is being put on you. Tell your parents that you feel you can't deal with school work. Take a day or two off, maybe ask to see a counselor? I RECOMMEND that you either write thoughts down every night or call a friend. It will help you more than you know I promise. You are strong. Look at how far you've come. Be proud of yourself, I know I am and I don't even know you. You can do this. I have faith In you, don't lose hope girl.<3
