I have accuweather (free app) on a samsung galaxy. Do the updates cost a connection fee?

My phone bill has skyrocketed since moving to this phone. The only difference in my usage is the weather app.

    If you dont have a data plan its possible I guess. You can view a general and detailed breakdown of data usage for each app in:

    settings-connections-data usage.

    Thatll tell you if your data usage has spiked over time and the detailed usage of apps.
