john lennon was a wife beating deadbeat dad and a poser!?

If your a Beatles fan you either have selective memory or just don't know what type of garbage john was. To be honest anyone who claims to be a Lennon fan or that he was a peace and love icon makes me sick and want to beat them down.

My question is, do you know anything about john Lennon beyond hearing his tunes and how do you feel about what he did to Julian?

If your a die hard Lennon fan, your immoral, please smash your fingers with a hammer.

Sean Lennon once said that his father's one redeeming feature was that he could admit his faults. I hate the way that he treated Cynthia and Julian, there was no need for it even if they separated, he was an asshole. But I don't think Mick Jagger was much better in the way that he treated his girlfriends and especially the mother of his first child. Bob Marley who is also venerated was violent towards women.

If John had lived, I'd like to think he would've tried to mend his relationship with Julian, that's the sad thing - I think they were just starting to become close when he died.

From what I have heard, John was okay when he was clean and sober, but he couldn't handle drink or drugs. After a few drinks, he would get nasty. He clearly had anger management issues when he was a young man, and sought help for them after he left The Beatles. I think you have to admire that because it was rare for a guy to do that at the time. He traced it back to childhood issues. Both John and Paul lost their mothers at an early age. Paul dealt with his loss by becoming a control freak, John just became angry.

All musicians at that time drank heavily and most took drugs so they could keep doing shows. Many of them became addicted. I met someone who spent time with The Beatles in the early 1960s and he said that John was the most pleasant company, before he got weird.

Anyway, though he was troubled, he was talented and clever. I think he would've found more inner peace if he had lived.

I don't completely agree with what you have said, but yes I have heard of people saying before that John could be kinda edgy and tense and stuff like that, yes John was an honest person he spoke his mind, you gotta also look at the childhood he came from , his father was pretty much never around and for a majority of his life and he was pretty much raised by his aunt, and then his mom was killed when he was 17, and then he became part of a band (The Beatles) where he lost all privacy and had the stress of media and paparazzi and had a heavy weight to carry just by being part of The Beatles all that, yes he wasn't a perfect person, but who is , and even if John wasn't really a peaceful person (i say he was) it is still good that he promoted peace, but John is one of my idols , even though i've heard all the rumors about him it still doesnt change my opinion about him, im just not judgemental

So John Lennon tried to persuade millions and millions of people to stop all the violence and war, but because he treated his son incorrectly for a short time in the mid-60's means I need to smash my fingers with a hammer?

John did have an affair with Yoko Ono and ultimately left Cynthia for her. But I read Cynthia's book, John was bewitched with Yoko, she had written him letters, and when Cynthia and Julian went away on holidays, he had Yoko in the house and in Cynthia's bed. He wasn't the most attentive father to Julian as the years went by, but that really is Julian's business. No one is perfect, but because John was such an outspoken humanitarian, that really drowns out his personal imperfections.
