Thinking of joining PC Master Race but...?

I know nothing about computers. Basically I want a laptop that can run games on high settings at as close to 60 fps as possible. Does anyone know a good model to look into.

I would mainly use it for gaming but would also use it for school stuff occasionally if that factors in at all

Update:

I meant medium or high and preferably less than $2000

Laptops are not great for gaming. They run on a battery and they aren't really upgradable. What you should do is at least buy a decent gaming PC. With that kind of cash you can buy a decent brand PC. What is most preferable is to build a PC. It sounds complicated but with websites like pc parts picker and all the wonderful how to guides it isn't that hard. With your budget you can build a pretty solid PC, definitely something that can run games on high or ultra settings.
