Comment drop down box does not accept a comment.?

For some reason you cannot comment if you were given best answer. If it was a question you got best answer for you can comment on the other answers but not yours. If you didn't get best answer then you can comment on the best one.

This is a resolved question you answered

You're not doing anything wrong.

On the old (green) format, the comment option was attached to the question itself, and was open to all users once the question was resolved.

On the new (purple) format, the comment option is attached to the ANSWERS, not the question. We are able to comment on each answer individually, but are unable to comment on our own. On a resolved question for which your answer was chosen Best Answer, the 'Comment' feature is there and will open, but won't accept your typing. On a resolved question that you answered, but for which your answer wasn't chosen, the 'Comment' feature doesn't even show up beside your own answer.

Look at the examples WHIZZZ provided, and you'll see how it works.

I get that sometimes I think its just yet another yahoo glitch. You could try signing out and sign back in again
