How record LP with A/D converter? (setup)?

LP goes to A/D converter, to computer? How do I "save" the information?

    I've been converting my old LPs to CDs for many years by going from my stereo line out (you can use the tape monitor loop if you want to) into my soundcard line/aux in.

    I use Adobe Audition as my recording program, but there are freebies on the net.

    You will need a recording program no matter what else you do.
