What materials did Leonardo da Vinci use for his sketches?
Not his paintings, just his drawings. Was it just ink or was it charcol maybe? Anyone know?

He used a variety of materials, including charcoal, as you suggested. Some drawings are done with pen and ink. Some are done with types of chalk.
