MS in Computer Science or Software Engineering?
I recently graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics (minor in applied statistics). I'm looking into a Master's program, and I'm considering an MS in Computer Science or in Software Engineering.
Other than the one computer science course (C++) I took in undergrad, I don't really have programming experience but I'm planning to learn on my own.
Given my undergrad degree, I'm afraid this will put me at a disadvantage if I choose SWE. Which degree is more flexible and has greater job opportunities?
Also, I started with C++, should I continue learning this language or start with something simpler? I heard Java is easier.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
EddieJ- Thanks. I am looking for an analyst position now, but it's not easy to find a job especially whereI live. What interests me most is the programming aspect, I want to learn more about it.
