Should I cancel my health insurance? I've been paying for me and my Husband's policy.?

I've been paying for me and my Husband's policy for years, last year it went to 550.00 and this year 650.00. My deductible is $5000.00, if I get sick I can sign up for ACA.

Think about what might happen in an emergency.

Sure, "if you get sick" you could then sign up for insurance. But if you have an emergency (appendix, kidney stone, fall and break your arm) you would be without insurance and up the creek.

Yes, if you get sick you can sign up for the ACA when the next open enrollment period comes around. If you don't have insurance in place by March 31 the next open enrollment period will be in October for a January 1 effective date. So if you can pay all of your medical bills between now and January feel free to cancel your policy and hope you don't have a $100,000 hospital bill during that time.

Yes even though health insurance is rising higher & higher, y'all both need to get your policy

out and study and read up on how much your benefits. Then you need to have balanced expectations

what y'all's concept of coverage for real life events .

Look at what your health insurance doesn't pay. Get an estimate how much will help your issue be

    the determining factor.

Surf the internet and ask specifically using only main words is a must.

I would go to one of the more popular health insurance and that may be the hitting the nail on

the head.Knowledge gained remind me of the saying ''putting the horse before the cart.

In conclusion ; y;all have your homework to do. Good luck and may y'all be on the winning team.

Besides your health , this has really come in handy. A simple easy workable solution is a passbook

savings account 1 for each of you. A Certificate of Deposit. Both will come in hand y plus

y'all be ahead of the doctor bills .

Set aside some money for some fun things to do . All things are in place and you'll be

amazed at how much fun working together can make time fly.

You actually can't sign up for a law. You can, however, buy health insurance. But, if you get in a car accident in April, the next time you'll be able to buy health insurance won't be until November for a January 1 start date. You'll have sold your house to pay your bills by then.

No, you should not cancel. If you want to sign up for ACA, then you should do it now. If you wait and get sick, you might not be able to do it then.

can you afford the 5k annual deductible. if not, you really have no choice but to move into another policy. do so before 3/31

You can sign up for ACA, next OCTOBER to be effective January 1, 2015.

If you drop NOW, you have to wait until the next open enrollment period, to sign up again.

So, it's silly to drop what you have.
