Period too light for tampons, but swimming?

So, this summer my family and I are going to the beach at the end of June.. I'll be expecting my period at the end of the month. I've successfully used tampons, but always have to pull them out dry..? (I've tried regular and light.) I hate having to do that because it obviously hurts. Because we're going to the beach, I'll be swimming in the ocean and in the pool at the place we're staying, what can I do?? I guess I could just wear one and pull it out, but I don't think that it's very safe to do that very often. Any help? Also, do you know of any brands that make an extra light tampon possibly? Thank you in advance for your answers!

Switch to menstrual cups or softcups.

Cups are far safer than tampons so pose no risks like TSS, one reason for this is because they don't dry-out vaginal tissues so don't cause any vaginal tissue damage that would allow bacterial toxins into your bloodstream - cups don't dry-out vaginal tissues so safe to use before your period or with light flow, also far more comfortable too. Menstrual cups are also far better for swimming because nothing shows outside your body, they don't absorb water, don't increase cramps, and don't leak like tampons.

    What is a Menstrual Cup? - http://menstrualcup.co/?afcode=info

It's not safe to use tampons before your period or with light flow - the lowest absorbency you can get is lite absorbencies, so if they are dry after 4-6 hours your period is far too light to use tampons so not only are you causing yourself pain but you're putting yourself at significantly higher risk of contracting TSS.

Menstrual cups, they can hold more than tampons and are also safer to use with light periods, they don't dry you out.

As long as you don't go deep at all, you should be okay. Otherwise, it might not be a good idea to go on at all.. You can wear a pad on your bathing suit if your just going to lay on the beach & relax.
