Anyone know about the National Honor Society (NHS)?

I've heard that u do volunteer work and projects and stuff like that, but is it fun? Can people meet new people and become friends? If u have been in this club can u tell me any details on how this helped u or if not? Just wanted to see what your opinions are on this if anyone should join or not. Thanks!

I'm in the National Honor Society. I love doing volunteer work. I have over 350 hours documented with Hospice. I help out with WWII veterans. And I promise you, it is so worth it! They have amazing stories and make me laugh all the time. Plus, old people are awesome about compliments. I get "ohh look at this beautiful young girl!" all the time.

The volunteering you do might take up time, but it is rewarding. You will feel better about yourself because you help others.

It looks great on a college application. And I have made lots of friends through Hospice.

Pick a place you think you would enjoy (do you like animals, elderly, needy children, environment) benefitting and get lost in helping!
