How do I help my Mom gain weight?

My Mom has MS and is in a Nursing Home. She can only have pureed food and thickened liquids. Lately she has been loosing weight. Any ideas to help increase her appetite and get some weight back on her.

    she needs to eat high calorie supplements like fortisip/forticreme x

    i was thinking of Ensure high calorie drinks. they come in various version to meet various nutritional needs.
