When I hear Huckleberry hound singing, I think of country music. Why is that?
For example in "the good, the bad, and Huckleberry Hound", he sings "By The Light Of The Silvery 🌙", instead of "Clementine".

In art class we were talking about this ( I was in school in the 70's). We came to the conclusion that the simple music arangements were easier to use when matching them with the characters in the cartoons. Not just "Huckleberry Hound" but other cartoons used simple melodies in a "hillbilly/southern " drawl for the characters which was intentionally done to draw attention to this character,
