Do you dislike Dragon Ball Z ?

As a kid, Dragon Ball Z was the best cartoon out there, not only for me, but for many others. It served as a gateway to the world of anime. I remember running home from the bus after school to catch the newest episodes and pretending to be goku on the playground with my friends. In terms of quality it might not be the best but it is definitely iconic.

Watching it again as an adult, its definitely not as great as it was. The voice acting is ok and the story lines are rather repetitive. A villain shows up, Goku and his friends fight it, his friends lose and Goku wins. Instead of killing the villain, Goku lets them live and regrets it later on, the universe is saved, and everyone lives happily ever after. The characters are extremely lovable though and that's part of what makes the show so appealing.

I'd recommend watching Dragon Ball Z abridged because it goes through the story much quicker and makes it alot funnier.

I know what you're saying I like it too. But I think its because people think about it is. The DBZ characters are to over powering. They can't every just die without being wish back to live. Also not to mention every time they die they always get the Dragon Balls. And always wish them to comeback alive which is somehow kind of boring. If they just add realism like if the DBZ warriors could not be wish. Back to life then it would be more interesting. Because then it will show at least the DBZ characters are not to over powering.

But hey you don't have to like my comment this is just my opinion after all.

DB, DBZ, and DBGT are all awesome. Interesting concept and storyline, and insane action scenes.

I know some people don't like it because a lot of the battles consist of 70% talking and 30% actual fighting. And certain aspects of the show are just ridiculous. But energy beams and huge explosions are enough to keep me captivated

no I like it. the style is cool~ what amuses me is the cliche anime yelling and how they battle, but as funny as that is, its fun to watch sometimes! I love Goku out of them all~
