  • I just got screwed by college admissions as a transfer student?

I'm a first semester freshman in college, almost second semester and I applied to another college as a transfer student for the spring 2013 term. Since I hadn't finished my first semester I couldn't give the college my college transcript so they told me to send my high school transcript. I had applied the year before so they told me they still had my transcript. This was about a month and a half ago. I emailed the admissions department a week ago and got an email today saying that they didn't have my high school transcript so they couldn't even admit or deny me and that theres nothing I can do about it? How is that fair? They told me that they had my transcript and I didn't need to send them anything and now they tell me they don't have it and I can't be considered for admission. What can i do???

  • Help with a constant acceleration problem?

A smaller propeller airplane can comfortably achieve a high enough speed to take off on a runway that is 1/4 mile long. A large, fully loaded passenger jet has about the same acceleration from rest, but needs to achieve twice the speed to take off. What is the minimum runway length that will serve?

Hint: you can solve this problem using ratios without having any additional information.

If you could solve and show your steps with ratios it'd be much appreciated.

  • Why didn't people vote for Ron Paul?

I don't understand. He's definitely the more qualified, more educated, and just overall a better man than either Obama or Romney. I honestly think that he's the only candidate that actually cares about the American people regardless of their income level, religion, or race. I'm so confused. Why didn't people vote for him?

  • Does this girl actually like me or not at all?

So I've liked this girl for a while and I finally got the balls to ask her out...over Facebook (I'm trying XD)

So I said I think I like you more than a friend and we should go out sometime.

    First she said "Wait...really?"

I think she thought I was just kidding since I joke around with her a lot.

Then I told her I was serious.

She said "uhh. I don't really like you like that so. Ahh, idk I'm stupid, you wouldn't want to hang out with me. Haha"

I tried to tell her that I didn't care about something like that and that she's smarter than she thinks but she kept saying that she's stupid. Is she just saying no nicely or is she hiding something

I want to ask her out one more time and tell that I don't care if she's the smartest or the dumbest girl ever that I like her regardless. Should I even try or not?
