Active transport is ATP dependent transport through the membrane of a cell.

Primary active transport : Na+/K+ pump ATP dependent that pumps the Na+ out of the cell & the K+ in.

Secondary active transport : Co-transport of Na+ or K+ with another molecule in the same direction

Tertiary active transport : Transport of Na+ or K+ with another molecule in the opposite direction : Anti-port.

Now, yes I could write a page or two on primary, secondary and tertiary active transports, but where are you going to get in life if people write your essays for you? Hint : Not very far. I've given you the basics, you can do an essay using this plan :

    - Intro, defining the basics of active transport

    - Primary active transport

    - Secondary active transport

    - Tertiary active transport

    - Conclusion : I would recommend concluding with a dynamic view of the interactions these 3 active transports have

    Good luck
