sideways rainbows in daylight clear sky in daytime?
Yeah I know you think i'm from some hick town and wearing overalls but this afternoon there were the strange nearly perfect patterns resembling the arc of a rainbow very wide sweeping but the were not downward like a rainbow and to add more mystery one went in an arc from north to south the other the opposite arc direction seaming to stop where they intersected. At that spot there were vivid colors spreading out. We don't get the northern lights out here ever but these could never have been made by a plane Too wide and too precise. My 1st thought was some type of refection from the moon casting into the skyline but why different directions.

Were the arcs in the direction of the Sun? There can be a variety of arcs around the Sun caused by ice crystals in the upper atmosphere.

Im a girl, so its all poetry to me, so u can bask in all its wonderous beauty, and take pleasure from such a lovely masterpiece, that was created for only you to behold. Also, when there are two rainbows, the second arch, will be a reverse of the first one, like a mirror image, created by reflecting light, and some rain, or even a light drizzle.

It could be some version of that.

Sounds like you saw a double rainbow.
The rainbows are usually flipped.
And one is often fainter than the other.
It doesn't have to come from two different light sources.

That's a sure sign that your Mother-in-Law (assuming you have one!) either just died or is about to die!
