I'm having problems with high definition audio device driver by microsoft?

I have dell 560 windows 7 computer. My computer speakers are fine. The sound stop working and the youtube or other video plays choppy. When I disable the high definition audio device from the device manager, the video speeds are back to normal. When I enable it back on, the video speed is choppy. I tried re installing the high definition device driver and I still can't get any sound. can someone plz help me fix high definition audio device to get sound back on my computer.

Update:

I checked it with Driver Booster and It upgraded it to realtek High Definition Audio Device. Still have the same problem. no sound.

I got the USB sound card and the sound is back

    You could try Razer Surround which is an Audio Controller designed to optimize your sound quality.

    but you'll need your Audio driver working, so I would recommend scanning your computer with Driver Booster to see if there was an update for your Audio driver you can install.
