Why do I dislike people so much now?

I feel the same way too now. I realized that I stopped being interested in people because I found that I have changed. Maybe this could be your reason. Maybe your friends have changed too.

And maybe your not interested in guys anymore because you have matured or maybe because you have higher standards now.

I'd say you are used to your current situation and have become comfortable in your solitude. I've built a shell around me. Impenetrable. Nobody could get in. I was fine with that. Then somebody came along and that shell? Gone. Defenses? Gone. Cold and barren response? Gone. Simple one liners? Gone. Turned into a BOOK.... How can you not fall in love with that face

They are honest, loyal, loving, playful and never talk back or betray your trust. More than that they're safe.Just like not diving into the pool of a mature relationship is safe. There MIGHT be some fear of rejection in there as well, something animals won't do. I think these times of just leave me be are normal but personally I think there's a very very little iota of a possibility that you will be single 5 years from now.

Your probably just going through some changes. When you get older its more common to dislike people and feel jaded by life, but your young so if this doesn't pass then consider talking to someone about it.

I prefer pets too as they don't talk back. I don't like to talk to people much either, I find them increasingly annoying at the shopping centre and uni. Especially when they're all sweaty and gross or they start coughing and sneezing all over the place. People disgust me. At least when cats and dogs sneeze it's cute.

But yeah, you're probably either shy or you just don't care that much to interact with them. It doesn't really matter though if you're happy with your own company.

If you are happy being away from people, that is all that matters. I do not dislike people, but I do prefer being alone.

Because you were hurt by someone

Edit: who said you had to be hurt by a love interest? You could have been hurt by a family member or hurt from a friend a pet.. anything.. God knows.. but you were hurt by someone or something.. Possibly a strict childhood..

Hmm, there has to be a reason for this sudden, major change.

You should try and dig deep inside your mind and see why this is.

If you can't, try seeing a counselor.
