Do we really need a moving truck?
My boyfriend and I are planning on moving out within the next couple of months. We'll be renting. We're both moving out of our parent's houses for the first time. My question is do we really need a moving truck to move our stuff to our new place? Our new place 15 miles or less from our houses now. We don't mind driving back and forth a couple of times to get boxes. We don't have much stuff. Just a bed and fridge that will be moved in immediately. Then we're getting couches and tables from our parent's hand-me-down stuff so they will eventually help us get those things to our new house. So can we just throw the bed and fridge in the bed of our trucks and take it ourselves or should we get a moving truck? Sorry first timer lol HELP
Hey guys,
Well thanks for helping! I'm just not sure I want to spend money on a truck when its only a 15 minute drive. I'm very cheap hehe

Go for the very small, 10-footer truck. Those are easy to drive. And lifting a fridge is not just awkward. If some models lean over, they cease to function (some). Rent a refer dolly for the fridge. Do it all at once. Get a gang to help and feed em.
Best wishes to your new life.

That's a personal decision. Do it without one time and you'll likely wish you had one and just got it over with.
