Can a baby be born with a short life span?

    Yes if they have a birth disorder/defect ie tay sachs disease

    "Life span" is how long a person lives. And that can't be known until the person dies.

    "Life expectancy" is how long a person or population can be expected to live -- on average.

    And yes, a baby born with certain medical issues may have a short life expectancy.

    Yeah, ones with defects, disabilities, etc.
