I am thinking about becoming an Avon representative with the hopes of making some extra money. I have a few questions though.

Hi there! I would say if you love the product and are willing to work hard to get customers outside your inner circle of friends and family you can be very successful. I have a cousin who did Avon for a while but found that she was putting out more money than she was getting in. The Avon rep I have now has done it for years and she loves it and it's definitely a supplement to her income.
I am an Independent Star Scentsy consultant and I love it and love my team and I know if you do what you love and are excite about it you can make it happen in direct sales. ;) Good Luck!

Have you heard of Younique? It's another Direct sales Cosmetic company that is relatively new and therefore a much less saturated market which means a HUGE opportunity to build your customer base. The products are incredible!
