Yiddish term 'pasgoodnik.'?
My parent used to call me a 'pasgoodnik' as a term of endearment. Can anyone tell me what it means? I understand many of the other yiddish terms they used, but suddenly realized I don't know the meaning of 'pasgoodnik'

Paskudnyak. also Paskuda
It came from Ukranian / old Russian and it realy is a very very bad thing.
You can find it on the online discussions of the current political situation.
But some Jewish folks transpose it into an affectionate jibe.
Something like "little scamp"
The "*nyak" form is specific to Yidish,
while the one without the "*nyak" is the same in Yidish, Russian, Ukranian, and, I believe in Polish.

Are you sure it wasn't "paskudnyak"? That means something like "very bad person", but applied to someone close it has the same feeling as "you old goat" or "you little devil".
