Motorcycle Exhaust?

Question

I have a 2005 Suzuki SV650S. 
I am not sure how it is for other bikes but for this model there are only two ways that you change the exhaust on the bike by either replacing the whole exhaust system or cutting the mid pipe and putting a slip on exhaust over it.

Would you guys recommend keeping the bike stock?With a stock exhaust does that keep the value of the bike higher than it would if I were to cut the mid pipe and replacing it with a slip on exhaust?

Any Recommendations would be great.

Just as a side note I am planning on selling this bike so not really in it for the long run.

Mods are mods, sorta like paint, neon-pink is 'cool' to a very small majority of riders.
Keep it stock unless you like neon-pink.

Keep it stock. If you're going to sell it a custom pipe or slipon is a mark of possible abuse and price by knowledgable buyer drops- and new buyer may ask a experienced mech for advice who would say drop price $300.00 to pay for stock system replacement. The only good reason I would get a custom or slipon is if stock system was damaged or rotted and price was cheap- and that is reason I don't have stock system on my Goldwing, one side rot after couple years setting during cancer treatment, $99.00 for replacement set complete.

a pipe in the box would probably be a positive selling point .. the way i look at pipes on a bike is 'youve been ragging the hell out of it' .. the clean little total stocker thats been sitting in the garage most its life is what i look for personally, and i'll pay alittle more for that, i'll ignore the bike with the 'pipe' even if its alittle less money ..
