Is it fair to complain the President is weak after undermining everything he did for five years?
The Republican talking point today is that Russia has been emboldened to move because Barack Obama is perceived as weak. Putin believes that America will refuse to unite behind the President if he takes a stand.
Whose fault is that?

Republicans have spent the past 6 years calling Obama a 'tyrant dictator'. Now, they've decided that he is 'weak'.
Republicans are desperately grasping at straws. So desperately, in fact, that they are more than happy to cheerlead Vladimir Putin over their own country.

The Republicans have chosen a deliberate strategy to harshly criticize everything Obama does. To react to everything he does or says or wants with the same predictable fake outrage. To interpret any news about him as bad news. It's gotten to the point where whenever Obama agrees with a Republican, the Republican immediately changes his mind! It's gotten so that the Republicans in Congress are afraid to let any bill get passed and set to Obama's desk, because he will get some credit, and some small temporary positive publicity, when he signs it.
Of course part of this strategy is to find a way to blame Obama for anything bad that happens--in fact anything bad that has -ever- happened!
The Repubs are feeling pretty desperate today. Their chances of ever taking back the White House are looking pretty slim. They have some serious and growing internal factionism, and they are driving away the very demographics they desperately need to make a majority--moderates, independents, women, etc. They are desperately trying to figure out a new strategy but in the meanwhile they are desperately flogging this one as hard as they can. ('Desperate' is the key word here.)

President Obama can either consult with the Republicans or do something by himself. I think he should do something - war games near Russia or start up that missile shield in Poland.
Putin has the makings of a Hitler. He wants to revive the glory of the USSR. He should be confronted.

President Obama is perceived as weak after talking about ridiculous red lines that were not to be crossed and other nonsense.
Maybe he should've just shut his mouth if he didn't plan on backing his words up?
But typical Liberal, blame Bush and the Republicans for Obama's mistakes.

Putin invaded Crimea because he wants the port to the Black Sea for economic reasons and the region is mostly Pro Russian. Putin doesn't care about old right wing reactionaries in America.

Why do we want to "unite" behind a president who we know is wrong? And for over 3 years Obama had complete and total control of congress, who was "undermining" him then?
