The return of Jesus?
"Atheists, prove that God does not exist!!"
"Atheists, God does not need to prove anything to you"
I have heard these questions and answers so many times as i do not believe in God.
But i also keep hearing "When Jesus returns....." & "What are atheists going to do and/or think when Jesus returns?" etc.
So it got me thinking of how Christians would react to the "Return of Jesus"
So many people have claimed to be Jesus but as a society we have deemed them to be insane, drunk or drugged.
But what if Jesus were to return. Would we believe him? or find another way to crucify him?
and we can't ask him to prove it, he shouldn't have to right?
This is a legit question, this is just based on what i hear from Christians all the time.
What do you THINK you would do, say or think when someone reveals that he is Jesus?

an atheist should throw on a white robe and grow a beard and claim he's Jesus, Son of God.
How much you wanna bet the Christians will believe him?

Just because someone has a "belief" it doesn't make it equivalent to other facts...people somehow think you can't prove god can't exist, but god can't exist, it would have to operate faster than light and nothing in this Universe can do so...
In reality, Jesus never existed as an individual.
Jesus is an amalgam of many "prophesies" to coopt Jews, and followers of Mithras, and Zorastorians, and other religions of that time and since.
It's the first and best viral marketing campaign...infecting billions at this point!
How could "santa claus" and reindeer have anything to do with the story of Jesus?
Why does the voodoo religion of Brasil have gods with Xtian counterparts?
It's because xtianity coopts the local concepts and make them it's own, so that more believers come into the fray.
We're social primates, therefore, more followers than leaders.
We, ALL OF US, grow up with faith that a "higher power" will greet us upon wakening, to feed us and wipe our a$$es...some of us can't get over it, and continue to seek higher powers thru their lives.
Big Bang happened (things constantly are being created out of nothing and then destroyed according to particle physics).
The conditions on Earth for life to form made that as inevitable as water flowing downhill.
Evolution then rules, and here we are.
So, no need for god to create the universe and less reason to create life...
Faith is belief without evidence, so atheists and believers must agree: "No Reason For God!"

Jesus ain't com'n back! And the world isn't going to end unless some asteroid hits it or five billion years from now when our sun becomes a red giant and swallows up earth. There is no God, the world won't end by any ludicrous religious prediction and Jesus will never return. I'd be happy to bet any amount of money or my life on these words 'cause fairytales aren't real and they never will be!!!

Not really answering your question just because I'm also an atheist, but I have learned a very valuable quote from the invisible pink unicorn followers that would help you out the next time someone asks you to prove that god does not exist. Quite funny to me..."Prove to me that he does exist and I will use your method"

I don't think Jesus is going to return, if he ever even existed. He has been expected to return several times but it never actually happened.

Jesus has already returned

If all the religious people in the world were raptured we would have world peace.
