Frozen tilapia?
I got this bag of frozen Tilapia fillets and was wondering how to cook them, preferably on a skillet. I really liked these breaded garlic and herb frozen fillets made by Gorton's I believe. Any recipes that would be similar to that? I have a couple ideas but I'm new to cooking fish so any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated! :)

A little EVO in the pan, start it heating, cut garlic and herbs in as desired, I'd also use green onions and or leeks, and then cook your fillets in the oil/garlic/herbs. If the fillet has skin you cook it scale side down against the pan. Cooks pretty fast, 6-8 minutes should be good depending on how thick your fillets are.
That doesn't give you the breading though, and I'd say first off, you can add flour and make a roux, but it is actually more healthy without the flour.

Ingredients
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons seafood seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 1/2 pounds fresh tilapia fillets
2 tablespoons canola oil
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley leaves
Directions
Heat oven to 300 degrees F.
In a shallow baking dish combine flour, seafood seasoning, salt and pepper. Add the tilapia and lightly coat each side.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Shake off any excess seasoned flour and place in the skillet. Brown on both sides, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Place tilapia on a baking sheet that is lined with a paper grocery bag or paper towels and keep warm in the oven while you prepare the sauce.
Turn down the heat to the pan the tilapia was cooked to low and add the butter. Once the butter is melted, add the garlic, lemon juice and parsley and saute for 2 minutes. Place the fillets on serving plates or a platter, top with the sauce and serve.

A few night ago i made an orange glazed tilapia. Depending on the amount you can gauge the amount of ingredients. I used;
orange marmalade
fresh ginger
fresh garlic
a touch of soy sauce
crushed chili flakes.
i marinated them in the mixture for about an hour.
then melted butter into the skillet and placed the fillets in the hot butter. let them cook, then i poured the mixture in the skillet and let it get caramelized. when they are cooked to temp, they are ready.
another way i cook them is a simple garlic butter and lemon coating.
