When I was a kid there were some free showbags and others were reduced in price on childrens day. We were allowed one that you paid for. The bags were on the various stalls and you had to visit the stall to get one. These days they are all in the showbag hall so sensible parents steer well clear of it.

Never been, only ever been to the Royal Melbourne Show. We didn't have much money to spend so I would look at value and you couldn't go passed the Bertie Beatle showbag.

Argyios, I went to the Easter Show, in Australia, and I went nuts for those show bags, I must have gone through a couple of hundred bucks.

Like we have the Calgary Stampede, but that Easter Show in Sydney was tops, I went to see what it was all about, terrific stuff.

There weren't nearly as many to choose from back then. As kids we were only allowed one - on the two occasions our parents took us. As a teen I had no interest - the animals, the rides and sideshow alley were our focus.
