What's the best place to visit in Portugal? (Lisbon or Porto) ?
Which of these would you choose? I would really love to visit Portugal! I can't speak the language so well and I only know words such as "Ola, Tudo Bem, Oi, Sim, Contigo, Obrigado and Futebol". So I know I need to learn a few more basics! Do most people speak English there or would they prefer you to try Portuguese? Also, do they have good restaurants (cuisine), Nightlife and Shopping? I know sports are not a problem to find there as Portuguese are very interested in sports and crazy a bit Futebol right? :) Obrigado for your help! Thanks

You'll be fine with just those phrases, many locals speak English quite well.
Both Lisbon and Porto are lovely, if you can I'd spend a few days at least in each.

If you could only visit one I'd choose Lisbon. I live in Portugal and like both but as Lisbon is the capital it does have a bit more variety to offer. There is lots to see and do and plenty of restaurants, shops and nightlife and it is one of Europe's most attractive and affordable capitals.
But why not visit both? There are fast and cheap train and bus services between the two cities and to save money you could fly into Lisbon, spend a few days there then get the train/bus to Porto, spend a few days there then fly home from Porto or vice versa.
Don't worry about the language- you will find plenty of English speakers just through in a friendly 'bom dia' (good morning), boa tarde (good afternoon), por favor (please) and obrigado (thank you)!

Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, is one of Europe's many wonderful and cosmopolitan cities, and you can visit this place from with hotelbye . Set around some hills close to the mouth of the River Tagus, it is a place inextricably related to the sea. Intrepid navigators embarked from in the 15th and 16th generations to travel unknown seas and graph new places, and the history of the wonderful Age of Discovery underpins much of the city's culture and heritage. A spotlight of any Lisbon sightseeing visit is the 16th-century Jerónimos Monastery; a great landmarks of Portugal. Jerónimos Monastery is a wonderful monument of immense traditional and ethnic significance deserving of their UNESCO World Heritage.

Porto is a wonderful city.
Don't use "Oi" in Portugal.
