Since you didn't tell what version of the wireless router you are using, B, G, or N, here is a guess. If you have B or G you can upgrade the router to N, and then the PC to receive N if it doesn't already. If you are already on N with both the PC and the router, there's nowhere to go. If you're talking about your Internet connect speed, you pay for what you get. Call your provider.

No software of any kind will increase bandwidth speed.

Some wi-fi router vendors often come up with a claim that their router has the ability to burst to 10 times the bandwidth offered. But in reality, bandwidth is often configurable by server and not the router.

It may still be possible to go higher on N. N supports multiple data rates which depend on the number of antennas, channel bandwidth and number of spatial streams. For example, one could upgrade both the PC and router from a single antenna setup to a multiple antenna setup.

Also, don't forget about AC. It is faster than N.
