Ford and Nissan split their joint venture for the 2004 and up Quest.
Your Quest is powered by the oft-used 3.5 L VQ35DE engine from the Maxima, Altima, and others.

It uses a timing chain which normally requires no maintenance but I believe the Nissan engine has had issues withe them.

Every car built will brake pistons if the timing is off enough.
Do what i did and type in 2004 nissan quest into google and you can pull up the specs of the car and in that the engine model will be in there. Or pop open the hood and look around, the model number is always of the side of the block.
