Is it worth purchasing an iPad (Mini and Air)?
I own a MBPR (2012 model) and a 5th gen. iPod Touch. Is it worth getting an iPad, even though I already own two Apple products? I really don't know if I should get an iPad. The only reason that I am tempted to purchase one is because, I guess, a collection? There is not a lot of strong points to back up my statement about why I should get one, other than the "collection" segment in my argument. I would like purchase one if it had flash, and an app that has Microsoft Office, but I guess it's to difficult for some companies (third party developers) to actually have an agreement with Apple in order integrate their software into the OS, if they wanted to (uses for the iPad: school, entertainment). A meaningful reason would help. Maybe tell me your experience for actually buying the product will be of a benefit too. Thanks!

The iPad Air would give you a mid way to MBPR and iPod Touch 5th Gen, the MBPR is for heavy tasks such as HD video editing or playing some heavy game, whereas the iPod Touch would be used for music playing. The iPad Air can be used for various tasks and can be used to replace the MBPR up to 90%, as it cant be used for heavy tasks. Other than those tasks, you can almost put aside the MBPR and enjoy the portability of iPad Air.
If you would like to read the purpose for getting the iPad Air then take a look here:

So in short iPad Air can do almost 90% of the stuff your MBPR would be able to do excluding heavy tasks. So you would be able to enjoy doing stuff on the go. And iPad Air would be able to give you a longer battery life also. I.e over 10 hours which makes it better for use.
Hope this helped!

there are a lot of benefits when owning the entire ecosystem from apple. Needless to say, the ipad does have the same operating system as the ipod you already own. but, there are many thing you can do on your ipad that you cant on you touch.
1-you can download your school books (if you want), and yes, you can do the same on you ipod touch. but who is going to want to read a book off an iPod?
2- Taking notes in class! (i would recommend the logitech keyboard) I love doing this. thanks to icloud, you can take you ipad and you keyboard, which is going to weight just over a pound, significantly less than your macbook, and once you save your note, or your essay or your research paper, the information will go to your mac as well. so portability!!!!
3- screen size. if you are on a plane, it is much more convenient if you want to watch movies or work on your project.
I would recommend the iPad air hands down. processor and a Co processor!!! bang!
and I have also heard that Microsoft is working closely with apple to be apple to have Microsoft apps in the apple iOS

Well, since you already have a macbook pro and an iPod, whats the need for an iPad? Unless you have the money for it, go ahead

Hi! I would get a iPad. iPads are good for typing long documents, watching movies, and playing games. They have different apps too on a iPad. You can connect to your mac with the splashtop app on iPad (You can do that on your iPod too)
