    Technically, I feel you should only wear green if you have Irish ancestry of some kind. It was created as a way to remember the 'homeland' when thousand of Irish immigrants were forced to flee their homes during the Famine and the Hard Times.

    Wear green if you are Irish and want to honor your ancestors, but not just because it is St. Patrick's day.

    Also there is no such thing as ''part-Irish''. Nationality doesn't come in parts. You have Irish ancestry. Enjoy the day nevertheless.
