how to become a los angeles real estate person?
I'm not sure if there are different real estate jobs, I assume yes. I just want to be the one that shows the houses to couples and families.
How do I become that?
What schooling do I need? How many classes?
Also would I always be out driving?

first step would be to talk with someone that currently does that job. Get permission to follow them for a day- or better yet get a job being their assistant.
If you are in high school take any business classes you can. If you are out of school you will need to take some classes at a commercial school to get the license. How many classes depends on your current level of education. Look on the website for California Bureau of Real Estate for guidance for how many classes you would need. have been a real estate agent then broker in Texas for 36 years. We don't drive people as much as we used to because people narrow down their search over the internet. And often I ride in their car because they may have a baby seat they need to use. I do want to ride together so we can talk between houses. But I also spend a lot of time writing on websites or contracts and such.

There is a great deal more to a real estate agents business than showing pretty houses. Do some research, talk to everyone you might know who is in the business, and get some more education.
For example, no one wants their real estate transaction handled by someone who does not capitalize the names of cities. Showing houses is just 1% of the business, Writing detailed contracts in correct English, staying in touch with clients and service providers through written and verbal communication, and making sure the deal goes through smoothly comprises most of the rest of it.

If all you would want to do is show property, you do not want to become a real estate agent. You want to become a real estate assistant. Real estate assistance do many things in addition to showing houses to prospective home buyers.
A real estate assistant is limited as to the responsibility they are allowed to do in speaking with prospective buyers and sellers.
A real estate agents job incur much much more than just showing houses to prospective buyers. This is a very small portion of the day of a real estate agent.
You might want to speak with several local real estate agents about the responsibility of a real estate assistant. While speaking with this real estate agent, you might inquire of the duties and responsibilities of a real estate agent.
You would get a clear picture of the requirement of each position.. With the information you obtain you would be able to make an intelligent decision as to which you would want to become.
I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.
